    California Competes Tax Credit

    An income tax credit available to businesses that want to come to California or stay and grow in California. Tax credit agreements will be negotiated by GO-Biz and approved by a newly created California Competes Tax Credit Committee, consisting of the State Treasurer,the Director of the Department of Finance, the Director of GO-Biz, one appointee each by the Speaker of the Assembly and Senate Committee on Rules.

    State of California Employment Development Department

    Through its Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program, the California Employment Development Department promotes the hiring of individuals who qualify as members of target groups, by providing a federal tax credit incentive of up to $9,600. for employers who hire them. (866) 593-0173

    Goodwill Industries

    Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire assists employers through its Subsidized Employment Program (SEP). SEP provides a training period subsidy of up to $5,000. as an incentive to qualified employers. (707) 523-0550

    Recycling Market Development Zone Program (RMDZ)

    This program, managed by the Sonoma County Economic Development Board, is specifically designed for businesses and manufacturers that utilize products that would normally end up in a landfill. (707) 565-7170
