As an Elections Official, the City Clerk administers federal, state and local procedures through which local government representatives are elected. The City Clerk assists candidates in meeting their campaign responsibilities before, during and after an election.
City 2024 Election Date
Voters in District 1, 3, and 4 will elect their Councilmembers on November 5, 2024. Elected members will serve a term of four years, to expire December 2028.

Nomination Period for City 2024 Election Now Open!
The nomination period for the November 5, 2024 Municipal Election opened Monday, July 15, 2024. You can now obtain nomination papers to run for City Council in Rohnert Park Districts 1, 3 and 4 by scheduling an appointment with the City Clerk. The City Clerk's Office may be reached at [email protected] or 707-588-2227.
There is no filing fee to file your nomination documents. Don't wait! The nomination period will close on August 9, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. If an incumbent does not file nomination papers, the nomination period is extended to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
