COVID Mitigation Policies

Spreckels Performing Arts Center is over-the-moon to be re-opening our doors for live performances! We warmly welcome you back and want you to feel comfortable and safe during your time with us. In harmony with CDC, State of California, and County of Sonoma guidelines, as of 8/12/21, the following COVID mitigation policies are in effect:

General Protocols

Spreckels is a fully vaccinated company, including staff, artists, and volunteers.  
All lobby and restroom surfaces are disinfected before each performance and before intermission.
Dressing room surfaces are disinfected before every dress rehearsal and performance.
Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the lobby and dressing rooms.
Disposable masks are available for those who need them.

Performance Protocols-Spreckels

In accordance with State of California and County of Sonoma guidelines, performers in our shows will be unmasked. They are all fully vaccinated.
A distance of at least 6’ between the audience and actors will be maintained.
In the Studio Theater, the front row of seats will be blocked out to ensure distancing between actors and audience. Otherwise, all seats will be made available in both theaters.

Performance Protocols-Audience

Masks must be worn at all times in all areas of the theatreregardless of age or vaccination status.
To gain admission, patrons aged 12 and older must provide identification andeither:
a)Proof of COVID vaccination, completed at least 14 days prior to performance date.  


b)Proof of a recent clear COVID test, taken within 72 hours of performance
Children aged 6-11 are required to have proof of a clear COVID test taken within72 hours of performance
Children 5 and under are not allowed in the theater at this time.

Proof of vaccination may be provided in the form of a hard-copy of the vaccination card, a photo of the card or a QR code received from the State of California. These codes may be obtained atDigital COVID-19 Vaccine Record (

We ask for your kind cooperation in adhering to these policies, as we must regretfully deny entry to those who are non-compliant.
