BICYCLE / PEDESTRIAN PATH CONDITION ASSESSMENT

The City maintains just over 12 miles of paved off-street bicycle/pedestrian paths. In October and November 2017, the City retained an engineering consulting firm to perform a pavement condition distress survey of the City's bike path network.

The assessment provided a basis for a pavement management system for the City's bike/pedestrian paths. The path pavement management system assists the City in developing decision trees with maintenance and rehabilitation (M&R) options for the path system, and to develop budget options for the City. These analyses assist decision makers at the City to prioritize where funds can be expended.
