Rohnert Park Road Improvements Update: Week of November 9, 2020

Rohnert Park Expressway and Redwood Drive Intersection

Expect delays between November 9 through 13 at the intersection of Rohnert Park Expressway and Redwood Drive. New video detection cameras will be installed in order to decrease future traffic delay.

 East Cotati Avenue Rehabilitation

Starting November 2, 2020, PG&E and their subcontractor will begin construction of the Rule 20A Project located along East Cotati Avenue from the City Limits of Cotati to Snyder Lane. PG&E will be removing the power poles along this portion of East Cotati and installing utilities underground from November 2020 through February 2021, which will require closure in the westbound lane of East Cotati Avenue. Once this part is completed then PG&E electrical, Comcast and AT&T will performing their work from January/February 2021 through July/August 2021 with occasional lane closures. Once this project is complete then the City of Rohnert Park will have a Road Rehabilitation Project in late summer 2021.

Keiser Avenue Improvements

Beginning on Monday, November 9, 2020, Ghilotti Construction will begin the widening of Keiser Avenue between Snyder Lane and the new Oak Lane. Keiser Avenue west of Kerry Road to Snyder Lane will remain closed to through traffic and open ONLY to residents. Residents located between Kerry Road and Snyder Lane (as well as visitors to the community garden) will need to access from Petaluma Hill Road or Rohnert Park Expressway/Kerry Road. There will be not access or exit via Snyder Lane during construction activities.
