Rohnert Park Road Improvements Update: October 14, 2019

Snyder Lane/Keiser Avenue
There will be no work on Snyder Lane next week. Work on Keiser Avenue will be minimal and centralized to a private property, large equipment will be used, road remains closed to through traffic.

Downtown Infrastructure Project
Next week utility work will continue on Enterprise Drive from Commerce Boulevard to State Farm Drive, on State Farm Drive from Rohnert Park Expressway to Enterprise Drive. Hunter Drive is now open to traffic in both directions. Lane closures and detours will be in place resulting in traffic delays. Please use an alternate route if possible. Work hours are 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. This project is funded through a grant.

Rohnert Park Sidewalk and Driveway Improvements
This week the contractor will be working on the intersection at Camino Colegio and Manchester Avenue. They are starting on the wheelchair access ramp replacement, then will be working on the median island in that intersection for the next 2-3 weeks.

SB1 Gas Tax

Work is beginning on Monday, October 7 through January 2020, located along the pedestrian sidewalk along eastbound Camino Colegio between Magnolia Avenue and Manchester Avenue as well as part of the Coleman Creek path between Hillview Way and Gavin Way. The work consists of; Removing the existing AC pathway and replacing it with a concrete sidewalk. The pathway and the access to the pathway from arterial streets will be closed for the duration of the project. This project is SB1 (gas tax) funded.

Enhancements to Rohnert Park Expressway -  University District Development: Brookfield Homes

Keiser Avenue – East of Kerry Reconstruction
The City of Rohnert Park has contracted with Brookfield Homes to perform the Keiser Avenue Eastern Reconstruction Project. The project consists of installation of a new water main, recycled water main, storm drain and the reconstruction of Keiser Ave from Kerry Road to Petaluma Hill Road. Work hours for this project area are between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Keiser Avenue will be closed to all traffic from east of the Community Gardens to Petaluma Hill Road during construction in this area.

Local residents and patrons of the Community Garden can enter and exit their properties on Keiser Avenue via Snyder Lane.

Construction activities are about to get underway at Keiser Avenue involving installation of sanitary sewer and storm drain piping, curb/gutter, and sidewalk repair/replacement, and tree work, at the following locations:

Snyder Lane: will have traffic control for construction activities from the intersection with Keiser Avenue and extending southward, approximately one-quarter of a mile, to the southern side of the Hinebaugh Creek bridge. Expect temporary traffic lane changes.

Keiser Avenue: will remain closed to through-traffic between Petaluma Hill Road and Snyder Lane. Keiser residents and patrons of the Community Garden on Keiser Avenue will have access to their homes and garden throughout construction. Work in Keiser Avenue (at approx. 450 feet from Snyder Lane) is expected to start by mid-August and end October 30, 2019. Keiser Avenue will remain closed to through-traffic 24-hours a day.

Hinebaugh Creek Trail: will have traffic control for construction at the intersection with the western Snyder Lane sidewalk. Construction notifications will be provided routinely to allow you to plan for delays. Work hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday - Friday. Work may occur on some Saturdays to keep on schedule. All driveways will be accessible during non-work hours.
