The City contracts with McDonough, Holland & Allen for provision of City Attorney services. The City Attorney is the chief legal adviser to the City Council. The City Attorney advises the City Council, city advisory bodies, and city staff on a wide variety of matters including land use, public works contracts, cable television, refuse and recycling, finance (taxes, fees, and charges), mobile home rent review, and personnel and is responsible for drafting ordinances, contracts, and other legal documents. The City Attorney attends regular meetings of the City Council, Planning Commission, and Rent Appeals Board.
