City Manager

The City Manager's Office supports the information and policymaking needs of the Council, implements Council decisions and directives, and manages the day-to-day operations of City departments. The CIty Manager is appointed by the City Council to serve as chief executive and administrative officer. Under the City Council/City Manager form of government, the Council establishes policies for operations within the City and it is the City Manager's responsibility to ensure these policies are carried out.

John Dunn
Interim Assistant City Manager

The Assistant City Manager assumes general administrative duties when the City Manager is away from the City. He also oversees the following departments and services:

  • Economic Development
  • Intergovernmental Relations
  • Legislative Matters
  • Budget
  • Human Resources
  • Risk Management

In addition, the Assistant City Manager undertakes special projects assigned by the City Manager and serves as the City's ombudsperson.
