Rohnert Park is known as your "Recreation Destination"! Very few cities can boast of the number and quality of recreational facilities that Rohnert Park has to offer. What other city can claim 21 neighborhood parks, 25 tennis courts, three swimming pools, three dog parks, 14 softball and baseball fields, nine soccer fields, and numerous picnic and barbeque areas. But the opportunities don't stop outdoors. The Callinan Sports & Fitness Center is one of the first public health clubs in California and offers weight training, basketball, volleyball, racquetball and complete locker accommodations. The Rohnert Park Community Center is the home of numerous self-improvement classes offered by the department including the largest pottery studio in the area. It is also available for private parties, meeting and weddings. Several other facilities are also available for private rental.
