Fire Permits & Plan Review

Plans are required for all new buildings and for changes to existing buildings. The Fire Prevention reviews these plans to help ensure that the applicable codes, ordinances and standards are being followed, and to prevent unnecessary hazards.

New plans may be submitted to the Rohnert Park Fire Services Division located at:

Rohnert Park, CA 94928

When submitting plans, please bring three (3) complete sets of drawings and three (3) copies of any other supplemental information. Plan check and permit fees are based on contract valuation and are payable at the time of submittal.

The Fire Prevention also accepts fire permit applications electronically. Please submit a complete set of plans along and any other applicable required documents to [email protected]. Plans and supporting documentation must be supplied to our division via email or drop-box link, files in PDF format NOT to exceed 80,000KB.

Plans that are submitted directly to the Fire Services include: fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, pre-engineered fire protection systems, high piled storage, tents and etc.  Please see our current fee schedule for the list of permits and fees using the links to the left. All other plans are submitted to the Building Department and are automatically routed to the Fire Services Division.
